Accessibility
SONeT Web Forms should be usable on modern desktop and mobile browsers, but accessibility gaps may still exist. The site aims to support readable layouts, keyboard-accessible controls, and responsive design where practical.
The current accessibility statement owner for the site is Richard Harrison as site developer.
Known limitations
Some workflows may contain complex interactive layouts, modal flows, or table-like structures that need further accessibility review. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, it should be reported through the site's governance or support route.
Clinical safety notice
The site may contain calculators, prompts, form workflows, and reference material that support operational or clinical tasks. These features do not replace clinical judgement, approved prescribing information, local guidelines, senior clinical advice, governance controls, or approved operational processes.
Calculator limitations
The Southampton hub SONeT drug guide has been developed to provide support to clinicians in drawing up common drugs and infusions used in the stabilisation of neonatal patients.
The guidance does not override individual responsibility of healthcare professionals to make decisions appropriate to the circumstances of the individual patients.
The drug guide does not replace clinical judgement and must only be used as an aide. All drugs must still be prescribed on the patient's chart. All drug checks must still be completed as per routine medicines administration policy.
It remains the responsibility of the prescriber to ensure all doses are correctly prescribed before they are administered. Furthermore, the authors or UHS will accept neither responsibility nor liability for any drug administration or dosing errors.
The calculator is for trained healthcare professionals only and is intended for hospitals or services affiliated with SONeT in the Wessex region.
Identifiable patient details entered into the print function should only be entered within an NHS or clinical environment and are not stored on the server.
Once the service is live, the calculator is intended to be registered with the MHRA in line with the applicable governance and regulatory process.
Improvement approach
Accessibility and safety improvements may be introduced progressively as the site evolves. Material issues should be raised through the route shown on the Contact, Data Protection and Security page.
